Those Who Mourn

Today’s verse celebrates hope. πŸ’™πŸ’›

I believe there are a couple of ways we can take this verse. (1). For anyone who realizes they are a sinner from yesterdays verse, there is hope! Even though they may mourn in the moment about being a sinner, there is great hope in knowing that anyone who repents and confesses Jesus Christ as Lord will be saved!

(2). If you are someone who is quite literally mourning the pass of a friend or relative, or even going through a season of suffering of some sort, please know God is with you and has not abandoned you. He sees your hurt and it hurts Him just as much as you. Jesus, Himself, experienced many hurts, trials, and grievances here on earth (John 11 and Isaiah 53). Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” If you are hurting today, perhaps set your hope and mind on that God is with you and will never forsake you.
