I like to watch this one T.V. show called “When Calls the Heart.” In one episode, a young girl goes missing and the whole town goes out looking for her. When I was watching this particular episode, it reminded me of this parable Jesus told in the Bible:
“What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety nine on the hills and not go look for the one that wandered off? If he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety nine that did not wander off. In the same way, your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish” (Matthew 18:12-14; NIV).
Just as the whole town went out to look for one lost girl, so does the good Shepherd look for us! Jesus died so you wouldn’t have to be lost any more. He died so you wouldn’t be lost in your sin, doubt, and fear. He died so you could have hope to live with Him one day in heaven (Psalm 23:1).
In the song “Amazing Grace,” it says, “I once was lost, but now I’m found.” When we accept God’s amazing grace, we become found and we are no longer lost.
Another event that happens in that episode is that, when the girl is found, the whole town is so happy and rejoices when they see the girl is no longer lost. That also reminds me of when someone gets baptized at the church I attend. The whole congregation forms a big circle around the person to pray for him or her. They show how happy they are that the person is found and no longer lost.
If you feel like you are totally lost or perhaps you feel like you have lost all sense of direction in your life, God is going to find you just as long as you start listening for His call to come home. Don’t keep running from Him, instead run to Him (Hebrews 13:20-21)!

This reminds me of a quote I really like “God wants to meet you in the middle or your misery.” Idk where that came from but I really liked this and love spending time on a Saturday reading your blogs! Keep it up your doing great! ☺️❤️

Good thoughts. We often do similar things when a person commits to serving Christ and is immersed. I also love the show WCTH. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful post, Alyssa! The Lord is here for us and He loves His children dearly. We shouldn’t run away from Him because technically, we can’t .Why? Precisely because He never leaves us. Yeah, we might stray away from spending time with Him, but He never stops watching us. — It’s interesting that I happen to read this post today because I read that passage of scripture this morning during my devotional time. I plan to study the passage a bit more in depth because I want to learn more about it. Thank you for the post, Alyssa!! 😊
