My Introverted thoughts on the Virus

restI am pretty sure I don’t have to define what virus I am referring to (Romans 8:6). It’s the one that is like the flu or a bad cold. The one that is causing every one to quarantine and hide in their homes (Psalm 116:7).

There is something greater I wish to talk to you about today. You might call it the bigger picture (John 14:27). I have been thinking about how our country doesn’t know how to to just stop, rest, and do nothing. We are still trying to do extra activities over Zoom or other platforms. We are still trying to “go” when maybe we should “stop” (Hebrews 4:10).

Maybe it’s time to just simply be in our homes and not do much of anything (Mark 6:31). Maybe it’s time to sit and ask God how He would use all this time and let Him speak to us (Matthew 11:28). Perhaps today you should let yourself become bored, for that is when we are the most creative and in tune with our Creator (Psalm 16:8-10).

Today I encourage you to slow down, rest while you can, and simply live in God’s peace.  I also encourage you to dig into God’s Word to read what He says about peace, hope, and rest (Psalm 62:5 and Romans 15:13).

I agree people need to relax and slow down to enjoy The Lord, family, and friends. It may not be in a closeness physically for awhile, but closeness in techno gadget means. I have felt the need to do something to help out. It is pretty cathartic since I am guessing these homemade masks would be tossed or ??? by hospitals, so I decided to donate mine to my veterinary clinic. They may be able to use them. Thank you for your words and keep posting!

Yes. Just trust God, wash your hands and sit down. Read a book, those paper thingies.
