The theme for season 1 of the Magnified podcast (Check it out here!) has been the love of God and how that shapes who we are and how we live. It’s amazing to me that we can see how much God loves us just by looking at the time line of the Bible!
Think about it:
God created the world and all that is out of love! He made a promise to Eve, saved Noah from the flood, and made a covenant with Abraham because of love. Through love, He kept a remnant alive in Judah and sent His Son to be an atonement for our sin. Through His great love He rose from the grave on the third day in triumph over sin and darkness (Ephesians 1:3-14)!
Guess what, friends? He didn’t just choose to love you then on the cross before you could give Him a reason not to. He chooses to loves you right now, right here in this very moment (Romans 5:6-8).
Do you believe that? Do you believe that your Abba (Daddy) loves you endlessly and is never going to let you go? You may push and pull, run away even, but He never will (John 6:35-44).
If you have never opened the Word of God or have been meaning to get back into it, now is your chance! If you want to read about God’s love, but don’t know where to start, start with 1 John 4:7-21.
Remember it is because of God’s great love that we are set free and forgiven. We can’t earn it on our own; it has nothing to do with us. It is all about Jesus and how He was the perfect sacrifice to take away all of our sins (Galatians 2:20).
