Sometimes I like to imagine what Heaven is going to be like. I like to think about what my mansion will look and be like (John 14:2). I like to imagine meeting Esther, Ruth, or even Amy Carmichael, a famous missionary. What makes me most excited is that I will get to finally see my Jesus. Praise God He loved me enough so that I may get that privilege (Galatians 2:20 and Romans 5:8) (See Read This Before You Get Baptized…Part 2)!
The second thing I am most excited for is that there will be no more sin! There will be no more sickness, sadness, wars, fighting with friends or family, no tears, and nothing bad. Isaiah 65:20 says,”Never again will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his years; the one who dies at a hundred will be thought as a mere child; the one who fails to reach a hundred will be considered accursed.” (NIV). This news means we will never have to say goodbye again. No one will die! We will never know the pain and sadness of having to say goodbye to someone we love. Won’t that be amazing?!
So I encourage you as you go through life this week, remember there is something better coming. All that you are going through is worth it. Keep running the race and keep your eyes on what is to come (Hebrews 12:1-3). He is with you and goes before you. Don’t fear; don’t give up (Isaiah 43:1-2)!

You are so welcome! It was something I needed to be reminded of this week too. We need to realize that this life isn’t all there is. Something better is coming and it will be a place where we finally feel at home.
