So many sermons, so many lessons, so many discussions on grace and forgiveness, but do we really live like it? Are we quick to give grace to that person who cut us off on the way to work? Are we quick to forgive the people who speak harshly to us? Are we quick to give grace to those who are late to a lunch date? The list could go on and on (James 1:19).
When we get to the bottom of things, the question is,”Are we giving grace and forgiveness to others just as Christ does for us everyday?”
We need to be careful to not just get mad over little or perhaps even the big things in life. We need to remember to love others the way God loves us everyday (John 13:34-35). We need to remember the biggest example of grace and forgiveness; that example is in a young man, hanging on a cross saying, “Forgive them Father, for they know not what they do” (2 Corinthians 13:11).
