Does God have Confidence in You?

As I was reading the book of Job this past week, this one particular verse stood out to me:

“Then the LORD said to Satan, ‘”Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he stills maintains integrity, though you enticed me against him to ruin him without reason'” (Job 2:3).

How interesting would it be to have the God of the universe be so confident in you, that He would give permission to Satan himself, to come and take away almost everything you have? And be able to say in full confidence “Take away everything He has because he will still serve Me, and only Me.”

So now I ask you, would God be able to have full confidence in you, or do you cower in fear when trials and tribulations come (Isaiah 41:10)? Do you doubt God’s love for you when a loved one dies (Ephesians 3:16-19)? Do you doubt God’s provision for you when you lose your job (Matthew 10:28-30)? Do you doubt God’s goodness and faithfulness when you are afraid to surrender your life to Him (Isaiah 12:2 and Proverbs 3:5-6)? I ask you again, would God be able to say,”Have you considered my servant__? There is no one on earth like him.”
