Miracle Mondays (God Knows What is Best)

Vintage filtered on silhouette of depressed girl sitting on the windowHello and welcome back to another Miracle Monday! God has blessed me with two other friends to talk to about miracles God had done in their lives. Today we are hearing from Kaydance and Heather. I know them both through a theater program I am involved in. I hope their stories can help give you hope (Isaiah 55:9).

If this is your first time reading a M.M., we always ask three questions:

1. Has there ever been a time in your life when you didn’t believe in miracles? If so, how did that change?

2. Do you have a story you can share when you knew God caused a miracle in your life?

3. How did this miracle change your life?

The first person we will hear from is Heather. Heather is 18 and lives in Arizona with her family. Here is her story:

Q. Was there ever a time in your life when you didn’t believe in miracles? If so, how did that change?

A. “I had always known that God could do miracles, but I never thought that one could happen in my life. It all changed when God gave me a wonderful friend.”

Q. Do you have a story you can share when you knew God caused a miracle in your life?

A. “One night, in November of 2019, I began having dark thoughts and major depression. I decided that I needed to end my life. A friend of mine texted my best friend and he ended up calling me. I didn’t want to answer my phone, but I knew for some reason I had to. He poured truth and happiness back into my life. He stayed with me until he knew I was okay.”

Q. How did this miracle change your life?

A. “This changed my life because I have no idea what would have happened if my best friend wouldn’t have called me. I am so thankful God has blessed me with him.”

Wow. Another crazy story of how God can use anyone to help those around us and perhaps even save someone from taking their life (Psalm 68:20).

The next girl we will hear from today, is Kaydance. Kaydance also lives in AZ with her family. Here is her God story:

Q. Has there ever been a time in your life when you didn’t believe in miracles? If so, how did that change?

A. “No, I have always believed in miracles because I believe God can do anything.”

Q. Do you have a story you can share when you knew God caused a miracle in your life?

A. “Before the twins were born (her little siblings), my mother was pregnant with another baby. Sadly, my mother miscarried him when he was 12 weeks old. We found out later, that if he was not miscarried, he would have had to live his whole life in a wheelchair, having to do with him having a condition called Spina bifida. Then only four months later, my mom was pregnant with twins!”

Q. How did this miracle change your life?

A. “God knew that the baby would have this condition and destined to bring him home early. If He hadn’t done that, we wouldn’t have ever had the twins! God knew and He planned it out perfectly.”

What a great example of how God is always working everything out perfectly, has a plan for our lives, and knows what is best (Jeremiah 29:11).

Thank you to Heather and Kaydance for both being willing to answer these questions. I really appreciate it. I hope and pray your stories can bring others closer to Christ.

Thank you for reading this blog today and I hope and pray (as I said above) that this blog will encourage you and bring you hope in whatever situation you are facing (Psalm 139).
