I wrote this poem the other day after seeing a sad video of a woman explaining how she was often over looked and forgotten by as a child. This especially happened when she was at church or other events. I felt stirred to write something about it. This poem is for all the people out there who feel they are forgotten or overlooked by the world (Psalm 139:1-18).
You are seen and not forgotten; you are known because you belong to the King.
You are worth more than silver or gold; you are worth more than rubies or any kind of gem. You are the most precious thing any one will ever hold.
You belong to the One who redeems and sets people free; you, my friend, belong to the King.
Your smile was made just right and all your quirks make you real and true; you sparkle inside and out because He made you!
You are fully known, loved, and cherished. Your thoughts matter and are meant for the world to hear and see that your thoughts and ways come from the King.
You are beautiful and wonderful because you belong to the King.
