The month of February is often considered the “month of love.” However, I want to encourage you to keep on loving throughout the entire year. Keep on loving 24/7 just as Jesus never stops loving us (Lamentations 3:22-23)!
Keep loving your family, friends, those who hate you, and learn to love those you can’t stand (1 John 4:8). Give them grace and forgiveness just as Jesus gives us grace and forgiveness (Psalm 130:3-4).
Choose to love someone today (1 John 3:18). Love them even if they don’t love you back. Remember, it is God’s strength that enables us to love those around us (1 John 4:11-12).
Let me also remind you of something a wise person once said to me. She said something along the lines of this, “We don’t love to get something in return from others; we love because we want to reflect the same kind of love we have received from God (Romans 5:8).”
